Tiny Creatures' Tachion: Indy music that's better than any put out by the major labels

You'd think that by now, the old establishment in the music industry would realize that no one cares if they aren't raking in quite as many boatloads of cash as before.

Yes, it does make me verklempt when I realize that record company executives might have to make do with a Lexus instead of a Ferrari, but... I still manage to get through the day and so should they.

I came across the band Tiny Creatures when searching the Free Music Archive for background music for an excellent clip of bees on sedum I wanted to upload as stock footage for others to use under the Creative Commons license.

Its all fascinating stuff, but one song in particular really shows that the reason the major companies are faltering is that they're putting out dreck... the real quality and innovation and artistry is to be found among the insurgent indy labels and bands who use the web for their A&R.

So here is Tiny Creatures Tachion... I'm sure you'll be hearing it again in future projects!
